Fuelling security exports, from cyberspace to the field

What's inside: When we’re asked to imagine an exporter, the picture that often comes to mind is a medium-sized business transporting physical consumer products. In reality, exporters come in all shapes and sizes, from a one-person craft shop to huge multinational companies — and for some, the only transport route they use is fibre optic cable. Perhaps no sector better illustrates this than security. With top defence companies choosing to locate in Nova Scotia, the growing success of the Aerospace & Defence sector is attracting cybersecurity companies, helping to build a vibrant security ecosystem. We’re also focusing on Aerospace & Defence just in time for DEFSEC Atlantic 2018, taking place October 2–4 in Halifax. DEFSEC is one of the largest networking opportunities in the country for the Aerospace, Defence, and Security industries.
